Introduction
This calculator will show you how much salvage you should expect to get from ust'ed items.
It was inspired by this thread on the VN Tradeskills board
Give that a read to see where this forumla came from, based on work by CpaFan of Harvestgrain, Gouru of Morningthaw, and Xerxes of Thistledown.
Maggie's site has all the background info on salvaging/tinkering, including Tlosk of Harvestgrain's salvage tabe.
Honestly, all the information you need is already there, I just figured calculators are more fun than reading charts.
(and someone might even come up with a Decal plugin to do the calcs in-game, following the historical evolutionary trend of AC utilites)
-Surge of Morningthaw (Mail me)
Legend:
: # of units obtained per item salvaged.
: # of items needed to make a full bag (+additional skill required to make a bag with fewer items)
Example:
The table section below tells me that I could fill bags of wms(8) faster if I raised my skill by only 3 points, but I would need to raise it 6 points if I wanted to fill bags of wms(7) faster.
(the additional points can come from simply raising your skill, using a higher level buff, finding a (better) cantrip, or even using a salvaging forge)
Of course, Augmenting with Ciandra's Fortune (+25% salvage, can augment 4 times), will give an immediate boost to your salvage output!
